I am a young artist with a passion for Fiber Arts. I am exploring and learning techniques in felting, weaving and spinning. Seeing a finished piece coming from the fiber of my sheep and goats is a process I always enjoy. Much of what I do is eclectic as I research and discover new properties of the fiber I am working with, and this leads me down different paths.
I am currently (2013) 17 years old and in my senior year of high school. I grew up in a military family and have 3 older siblings. My fiber interest began when I was 8 years old and given my first angora goat and one thing lead to another. I am very active in 4-H with my sheep and angora goats and with the fiber arts projects as well as photography and other projects. 4-H has been a big influence in my life teaching me life skills, leadership, record keeping and time management – still working on that one. The Weaver’s Guild of Greater Kansas City along with this Felt Makers Federation has given me encouragement and fed my creativity. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and learning new techniques.
